Day 3: Another great road … Whistler To Kamloops

So we took 99 to 97 from Whistler to Kamloops, and I have to say, although it wasn’t as remote as our previous “Greatest Roads On Earth”, it was certainly a beautiful drive, even on a dreary day.

The whole road is basically an avalanche or falling rock or flood zone. Beware.

Day 3: Wild Horses Couldn’t Drag Us Away

So we’re driving on this beautiful remote road through BC on our way to Kamloops, and we see:

They stood there for a sec, wondering why we thought we had the right of way. I started making “Elmer’s” comments, and they ran off.

There’s so much to say about this road, but I’ll let Spammer post some shots first. I do remember the sign “If you can read this, you are within [shooting] range.”

If you see a sign like this and turn back, you have no business being on a road trip.

The detour started out benign enough.

Spammer took time to hydrate the desert ...

This was the point where we thought we might have bitten off more than we could chew ...

It's sunset now, definitely not within cell reception ...

Sunsets in the rear view mirror may not look as spectacular as they really are.

It was starting to get dark, and we spotted this notch a couple miles away.

Some 8 hours later, we spot the gleaming lights of Sedona.
